Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

When we contact the AQCAG to let them know they've won, we ask if they have a fun fact or trivia question to share. We'd like to share some of those with you now.

A question from Sendhil: What elected position constitutes the largest group of elected officials in the U.S.? (answer below)

Aaron wanted us to get to know our various Paul Ehrlichs. Paul Ehrlich was a German chemist known as the "Father of Immunology." A different Paul Ehrlich was an American ecologist who cowrote The Population Bomb with his wife Anne. And then there's S. Paul Ehrlich, who served as Acting Surgeon General for four years under Presidents Nixon and Ford.

A fun fact from Jeff: Jack Black's mom worked for NASA and helped design the guidance system that was used to bring Apollo 13 back from the moon.

We'll share some more another time! And the answer to Sendhil's question? Locally elected school board members.

The All Questions Correct Answer Getter from our May 23 puzzle is the Cameron Montag. Raise the roof, Cameron.

Trivia Puzzle #11

Today's puzzle is another one from Peter Gwinn. Peter is a comedian and writer for "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!" on NPR and is a founding member of the brand new Respite Theater Company, gearing up for their first production this year.

This one is eight questions with a nice balance of pop culture: books, movies, podcasts, it's all there. Enjoy!

Until next time,
