Dear friends,

We're beyond delighted to run the debut AVCX Classic puzzle from Val Melius this week, called "Wild Ways" at 2/5 difficulty.

Val writes: "My name's Val Melius. I'm a crossword constructor from Saint Lucia. I've got a real estate background. I got into crossword construction a couple years ago like 11 or 12. It wasn't until 2018 that I got my first "yes" and then I was hooked. I've been published in various venues. It's been a fun journey creating crosswords, constantly learning and meeting new people. My puzzle familia keeps getting bigger and it's such a blessing."

Thanks to all who submitted pitches to Classic during our open submission period. We hit our max as of a couple of weeks ago, so we're closed for the season, but we look forward to seeing your work when we reopen in May.
