Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

We're fortunate to have a guest puzzle this week by Chris Adams (his second for us), accomplished constructor and all-around good person. It's called "Disc Connection," and is 17x17-sized and 2/5 difficulty. Chris is an independent puzzlemaker based in Iowa City, Iowa. He previously majored in mathematics at Cornell University, and hosts, writes, and plays trivia in his spare time.

By the way, pursuant to Laura Braunstein's August 21 puzzle ("Agency Reform"), Laura is donating her payment from that week's puzzle to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (https://www.raicestexas.org/), an organization that provides free and low-cost assistance, advocacy, and legal services to under-served refugee and immigrant families and children.
