Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

Our third-to-last puzzle of the year is by guest constructor Rebecca Falcon, who's published with us a couple times in 2018. This one is "Color Me Surprised," at 4/5 difficulty. Next week we have a regular puzzle AND a bonus, both by guests.

Meanwhile, we ask (humbly!) for tips just once a year, around the holidays, if you're so inclined. The tip jar is here! You are remarkably generous people, and your subscription is already plenty, but if you're feeling generous and want to offer extra thanks to the people who make your puzzles, we'll be grateful of course. Tips are divided among constructors, after a 10% cut to the editor.
