Puzzle Notes
Dear friends:
Welcome to 2017 at the AVCX! The year begins optimistically, somehow, with a bunch of cool projects and new endeavors. We're glad you're here. The first puzzle of the year is by Brendan Emmett Quigley, and it's a 3/5 difficulty xword called "Tandem Bikes."
Thanks to all who played last week's contest, for which we asked solvers to send in an image of the completed grid for Elizabeth Gorski's "Ring Shape." The winner is Lawrence Denes, whose solution you'll find attached to this email (spoiler alert, obviously). Lawrence wins a 3-month subscription extension PLUS a one-year gift subscription for a friend. We got a lot of really lovely images, befitting a Gorski puzzle of this kind for sure.
