If you're experiencing the heat, then I wish you would get indoors and treat yourself to a cool puzzle. Perhaps roster member Faren's new crossword would do the trick? This 9x12 gem titled "Cold Spell" is sure to make you cooler … in every sense of the word.

Faren writes: "When I lived in Fairbanks, people often used 'cold spell' (or cold snap, but that didn't work for this puzzle…) to refer to a period where the temperature stays around -40 or colder! It's currently a whopping 125 degrees hotter where I am now in WI, so I hope this wintry puzzle can give you a breath of fresh Alaskan air, wherever you may be."
