We've got for you here a decidedly optimistic 9x10 midi by Katie Hoody. It's titled "It's Planting Time!" We hope the clever cluing (and playful occasional misdirects) make for a cheery solve.

Katie says: "This puzzle was seeded by 19-Across, a decades-old song that has been reverberating in my mind in recent months. The puzzle title was inspired by a verse from another Indigo Girls song: 'I see this world battered but not broken. There's a fallow heart, it's waiting on a sowing hand. You can grow what you want. One day it's gonna rise up, so plant what you need to make a better stand.' This puzzle comes to you with much hope for the future. Happy planting everyone!"
