Dear friends:

Tonight we're bringing you a 9x11 midi by roster member Katja Brinck titled "The Roswell Incident." We're wondering if you can solve this breezy puzzle in less than seven minutes?

Katja says: "When I was growing up, my favorite birthday cake I ever had was the one my mom made for my 7th birthday -- it was shaped like the number 7 and covered in pink frosting and sprinkles. This was the only time she ever made me a cake shaped like something -- I realize now that this is likely because the number 7 was a lot easier to make than most other numbers. When I realized this puzzle would be getting published in the 7th month of the year, well I think you'll see I had a similar inspiration. I also discovered a fun fact about the publication date, which has provided some additional puzzle fun - I hope you enjoy solving!"
