On a different note, big news from a dear friend of the AVCX and one of the masters of the medium! Matt Gaffney's Daily Crossword is being re-launched as a daily subscription service. For details on price, etc., see mgdxword.com. For signing up, you get one puzzle per day, delivered via e-mail at 11 pm the night before. No repeats, all new. 10x10, with somewhat clever mini-themes, easyish but tougher as the week progresses. Try a free sample puzzle at the site, and you can sign up for a free week there as well.
