Puzzle Notes

Dear friends,

Elise Corbin's "Task Failed Successfully" is 1.5/5 difficulty, on the easy side this week but no less fun or joyful for it.

Elise is a university student and constructor in Toronto. She likes to think that her February 2023 New York Times debut led to a spike in physics-related google searches, but she has no evidence to back this up. Elise's crosswords have also been published in indie outlets such as Crucinova, The Inkubator, and Fireball, and she's the only person (so far) to publish a crossword in FiveThirtyEight's math puzzle column.
