Puzzle Notes

Dear friends,

This week's Classic is called "You Do the Math," and it comes from the superb team of Rose Sloan and Shannon Rapp. It's 4.5/5, should keep you on your toes.

Rose is a computer science professor living in New York. They have been making crosswords since 2021 and have been an editor for Lil AVC X for the past year. You can find more of their puzzles at their blog, A Crossword Rose.

Shannon is the reigning ACPT E Division champion and an editor for Lemonade Disco and Lil AVC X in 2024. She has written crosswords for the Los Angeles Times, Universal, Fireball, The Modern, The Inkubator, Daily Pop Crosswords, and The New York Times, as well as her own blog. Shannon completes the AVCX cycle with this puzzle, having now written at least one puzzle for each of the five branches of AVCX, and is the first woman to do so.
