Hi all! If you've ever participated in Stella's weekly cryptic clue contest on Twitter, you'll recognize today's constructor, Lily Geller, as a true force of nature. Her clues are regularly fresh, witty, and inventive in a way that makes you wish you could get a peek into how her brain works.

Imagine my delight, then, when I learned that the first cryptic I'd get to edit for AVCX would be authored by none other than Lily herself! I think you're in for quite the treat with this puzzle, given the thought, care, and imagination that went into each clue. I'm only jealous that I don't get to solve this puzzle for the first time alongside y'all, but I'm so proud for it to get its AVCX debut.
