Puzzle Notes

Hi friends: 

We have another guest puzzle this week, this time from our friend Andrew Ries! It's called "Double-Headers," and is 5/5 in difficulty.

Andrew's puzzle contains a meta solution. Solve the puzzle, find the meta answer, and send the latter to doubleheaders@avxwords.com by the end of Sunday, February 22nd to be entered in a drawing to win one of three six-month subscription extensions.

Andrew J. Ries is a semi-professional crossword constructor living in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He constructs puzzles for two subscription services: a weekly standard crossword and a Rows Garden variety puzzle. He has also written six books of crosswords, the latest of which is "Creepy Crosswords"
