Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

We're back from our break with a 64-word diagonal-symmetry freestyle from Brian Thomas, titled "Fun with Flags" and clocking in at a difficulty of "Shouldn't Be Too Hard." Brian is a business analyst from Spokane, WA with the coolest wife & kids around. He has eleven toenails, a fake belly button, and a head so big his mom would cut a slit in the back of his baseball caps so they'd fit. When he's not writing crosswords, he likes to buy too many sweaters, play with his kids on playground equipment, get lost in Google Maps, and pester his city council to build more bike lanes. He also will be coaching his first U7 soccer game this weekend and would appreciate any long distance good vibes.

We at AVCX+ are huge fans of Brian's outstanding indie crosswords over at Puzzles That Need A Home. They're among our favorite puzzles published anywhere, and like the best things in life, they're free. Give them a look when you have a chance.

Happy solving, and enjoy trivia tomorrow!
