Dear Friends:We're excited to bring you a doozy of a themeless by Adam Aaronson and our very own Christopher Adams. We think this 66-word puzzle should play like Mario Kart on 200cc -- in other words, this one's tough! Sharpen your pencils and clean your erasers (or spit shine your screen and plug in one keyboard for each hand??? is that what the kids are doing these days?)
Adam is a rising senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a software engineer intern at Duolingo, and a speaker of past-tense verbs in French. He broke his pinky playing Skee-Ball at age 4, and he visited seven and a half US state capitol buildings this winter. The half was the Old Capitol Building in Iowa City, where some townie named Christopher purchased coffee for Adam and his friends out of generosity (and a desire to get Perky Point rewards). Christopher is a trivia quizmaster and indie puzzlemaker who's now collaborated on two puzzles with Adam, which is one more than the number of times they've met in real life.
