Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

Before we get to the puzzle this week, I want to give a brief plug for submissions. AVCX Trivia has an open-submission policy and we *really* want to see your stuff. Even if you are new to trivia, even if you have a theme but aren't sure if it's "good enough," even if you have an idea but aren't sure how to flesh it out. We really try to make the process collaborative and we are more than happy to work with you to come up with something great. So if this interests you, send a puzzle "outline" (i.e. a set of sub-answers and a meta-answer along with a general direction for the questions you'd like to ask) to trivia@avxwords.com and we'll work with you to come up with a completed set. Enrique is a trivia fan (and first-time trivia creator) from Oakland, CA, who also edits midi crosswords for the Lil AVC X branch of the AVCX expansion. He sometimes posts crosswords on his site, Datalexic, and co-maintains Spread the Wordlist, a data-driven resource for newer constructors. Enjoy the puzzle!
