Puzzle Notes

Attached is a 5/5 puzzle by Jeremy Horwitz, entitled "Bye Bye Birdie." Good luck!
Jeremy is an extremely talented constructor and we're proud to have a puzzle by him.
He and I went back and forth several times, finding fortuitous possibilities and experimenting with new shapes until we found one that worked well.
In case you're curious, this grid has 78 words - the same as most 15x15 puzzles.
