Carina da Rosa makes her AVCX Classic debut this week with "Grizzly Reports," a 2/5 difficult offering. We're so delighted to work with Carina, and we love how this turned out. Unusual grid shape, too, at 15x17.
And from the constructor: "Carina da Rosa is a crossword constructor, Lil AVCX alum, writer, and editor who hails from Toronto. Regular activities include knitting, reciting '90s jingles, and 'dabbling' on the accordion. She was once told that "AVCX is where all the cool kids are.' She'd also like to add 'helpful and thoughtful' to the list, and she's especially grateful to the Classic crew for saving her a seat at the proverbial lunch table."
We want to offer another plug for the third annual Midwest Crossword Puzzle Tournament, since it's now coming up soon. The tourney will be held in Chicago and online on October 3, 2026.
