It's Dan again from the Department of Cryptics, excited to deliver a puzzle by my AVCX colleague Steve Mossberg. You know Steve! He's a prolific setter here in America as well as in the U.K. newspapers, and proprietor of
Square Chase on Patreon, where you can (and should) get two lovely variety cryptics every month. Today he says:
