Hey there, folks -- this week I'm happy to present a puzzle by Doug Peterson, a fabulous constructor who never fails to make an editor's life easy. Doug writes:
I heard a famous person whose name appeared in a recent newspaper crossword say: "I was the answer to one of the word problems." I chuckled, but later realized that "word problem" is a pretty good description of a cryptic clue. Each one tells a little story, and my job is to make the stories interesting and distracting. I hope you enjoy this problem set!
