Puzzle Notes
Dear Friends:
While AVCX Trivia is not meant to be a competitive trivia league, we do grade the responses we receive for two reasons.
1. To award our AQCAG to a randomly selected individual or team who aced the puzzle. Please note that the AQCAG is an internet prize with no real world compensation (the best kind of prize).
2. To calculate "get rates," which help us calibrate the difficulty level of future puzzles.
With that in mind, a couple notes on our grading:
- Spelling doesn't matter, and usually, neither does singular vs. plural.
- Last names are sufficient 98% of the time. If we ask for first and last name, it's [hint hint] probably because the theme has something to do with the first name. Once in a while, we'll give you the last name and ask for the first, and that's the 2% of the time when the last name would not be sufficient.
- Unless we're asking for a specific title, variations are acceptable. As a themed puzzle, we do our best to pin answers and phrase our questions so that it's clear what we want, but there are times when an acceptable answer may not fit within the confines of the theme. For example, our previous puzzle had "orca" as an answer, but if you put "killer whale," we considered that correct, despite it not fulfilling the theme parameters.
Of course, it does behoove you to figure out the theme and use that knowledge to answer the questions. But in a world where you didn't figure out the theme, "killer whale" can still earn you internet points (the best kind of points).

Trivia Puzzle #9
Today's puzzle is from Adrian Clement. Adrian lives on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia with his best friend Hayley and their British Shorthair named Pebble. He says he has greatly enjoyed working with T.J. and Karen and is excited to share his first ever puzzle!
This one is eight questions, but shouldn't take you too long. Maybe ten or fifteen minutes. Enjoy!
