Puzzle Notes

Dear Friends:

Paolo Pasco has a themeless this week, at 4/5 difficulty.

Hope to see some of you at Lollapuzoola this coming weekend, here in New York. It's one of the most fun puzzle tournaments of the year. I'll probably be there with my kids, if you would like to meet two very chaotic small friends who I think are nevertheless ready to start solving.

Meanwhile, sometimes I'm struck by the incredible fortune of working with the constructors on the AVCX team, those who guest for us, and the many other good people who make and solve crossword puzzles. The volume of talent directed towards this creative pursuit that makes people happy is awe-inspiring. I just wanted to note all of this, and to offer a public word of thanks towards a group of people who I sincerely appreciate. Have a good week.
