Puzzle Notes

Dear friends:

Francis Heaney's "Love Letters" is a 21x21, 4.5/5 difficulty puzzle ... with a meta. Here's your flavortext: "Thirteen couples in this grid (which you may recognize from seeing them here and there) have written letters to show their loving, devoted attachment to each other. If you intercept their mail and read it, you'll see what they all are." Should your voyeurism yield a solution, send it to loveletters@avxword.com by the end of this coming Sunday to be entered in a random drawing for a prize.

Oh, and as if Francis hasn't already done enough for you? Also attached is a free bonus puzzle by him. The same puzzle appears on a mug on Redbubble, for which the artist's cut is going to Planned Parenthood. (As will any proceeds for individual purchase of the puzzle from avxword.com). It's a perfect mug if you need coffee to help you stay woke: Check it out. (Spoiler alert if you click.)

Meanwhile, Francis's Puzzles for Progress packet is also still available for new donations; so far the project has raised nearly $40,000.

Finally, the AVCX has formally made its own donation to Planned Parenthood. A few weeks back, we held a drive that raised almost $6,700. We rounded up to that amount, and gave the gift over the weekend. The confirmation email for the donation was posted to Twitter (@avcxword).

Yours,

Ben and the AVCX crew [avxword.com, @AVCXWord]
